Maria Island and beyond ... Pure Eco Magic ... Out of Triabunna

From the time we leave the Triabunna Wharf, there is so much to see and so many questions asked so we have special recorded commentaries during the trip.

Initially you will see “Sea Fish Tasmania” which was the old Alginate Factory, Tasmanian Scallops Facilities (locally farmed scallops and mussels), the “Woodchip Mill” and then we are off at 30 knots!

Weather dependent, your Eco Tour may include:

• Visit the Ile de Foulke being home to one the largest fur-seal colonies in Australia and a common place to see the giant sea eagle
• Enter a magnificent sea cave at the Ile de Foulke
• Across to the magnificent rock formations of the Mistaken Cape (where we are most likely to see whales and dolphins)
• Hug the coastline show-casing the unique and pristine and beautifully coloured rock formations and towering ancient cliffs
• View the “Painted Cliffs”
• Into Darlington bay to view the Settlement
• There is the additional bonus to be dropped off at Darlington at approximately 1pm and be collected at 4pm on our normal ferry scheduled trip – ALL inclusive in the $90 Eco Tour Fare.

In the event of weather not permitting the trip to Ile de Foulke

• Circumnavigation of Maria Island
• Across to the magnificent rock formations of the Mistaken Cape (where we are most likely to see whales and dolphins)
• Hug the coastline show-casing the unique and pristine and beautifully coloured rock formations and towering ancient cliffs
• View the “Painted Cliffs”
• Into Darlington and a short stop-over to explore the Settlement
  OR a beach landing at the pristine Encampment Cove on a specially designed platform

Important Information:

• Be warmly dressed at all times as even Summer can be chilly on the water.
• SeaWings provide wind/spray jackets for all passengers for the trip.
• Toilets are available on both Vessels.
• Bring your own drinks and snacks.
• Don’t forget your camera!
• Sunscreen and hats.
